Microneedling

Commonly known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). Microneedling triggers release of natural growth factors, boosts collagen and elastin. Improves: texture and tone, fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, sagging skin, pore size and discoloration. Microneedling packages available!

  • Our skin is remarkable at healing, and collagen is a big part of that process. Milan Esthetics professionals use an advanced microneedling tool that creates micro-punctures with tiny, sterile needles. Your body’s healing process then begins. First, your immune system removes debris and disinfects the wounds, and blood flow increases for new tissue creation. Then, new cells are created to replace the old ones, and a new network of blood vessels develops. Last, the punctures are repaired with new dermal tissues and blood vessels. Fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and texture all improve in return.

  • The severity of epidermal damage determines the number of treatments. For optimal results, patients schedule at least 3 treatments, spread 4 weeks apart. Patients with more in-depth concerns, scarring, or deeper wrinkles can expect between 6-8 treatments for optimal results. Each session is typically followed by 2-4 days of sensitivity, much like a sunburn. Microneedling series are only needed every year after you have completed your series. Your skin will continue to heal 3-6 months following your Microneedling sessions.

By controlling the site and the amount of the treatment, we can diminish or even erase some of the damage that occurs over time, including scarring, discoloration, and other blemishes.

  • Growth factors are signals created by the body that assist in cell repair and replenishment. While cells can continue to manufacture many of the proteins needed for wound care and epidermal repair, these growth factors are produced in fewer and few numbers as the body ages. However, by injecting precise amounts of the appropriate growth factors at the site of the treatment, these peptides reactivate the dormant protein-producing regions of the body’s cells, encouraging their manufacture. By combining the useful effects of these hard-working peptide signals with the beneficial collagen and other proteins released by the microneedling procedure we can ensure even more effective outcomes.

microdermabrasion

Great for treating light scarring, discoloration, + fine lines. Microdermabrasion helps to remove dead cells, increase collagen production & even skin tone and texture by using a diamond tip exfoliating wand.

Custom Peel

Your esthetician will assess your skin to figure out the best-customized peel treatment for you. Peels help uneven texture, acne, scars, wrinkles, dehydration, hyperpigmentation (dark spots), aging, etc. Depending on your skin’s sensitivity and your concerns your esthetician will choose products specifically tailored to your needs.

Dermaplaning is a treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead cells and hair from your face. Dermaplaning aims to make your skin’s surface smooth, youthful, and radiant. This treatment helps to remove deep scarring from acne and uneven marks. It’s also used to remove “peach fuzz,” the short, soft hairs on your face.

Each mask is infused with electrolytes derived from algae along with other custom beneficial ingredients leaving your face happy and hydrated.

high Frequency

The high-frequency facial is a skincare treatment used to help treat and prevent stubborn acne, shrink enlarged pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, decongest puffy eyes, fade dark eye circles. Also for hair growth and scalp health. Different wands/combs will be used on face and/or scalp.

Light Therapy

Light therapy emits UV-free, beneficial light energy to the dermis and epidermis. When light is applied directly it can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, temporarily increase blood circulation, + treat mild to moderate acne.

Facial FAQs

  • Our goal, of course, is to minimize any post facial breakout as much as possible. That said, if you have a lot of extractions, it is quite possible that you will experience some breakout within 48 hours of your facial. The best thing to do is book your facial about 7 days before any special event so that your skin will have had time to recover and look its best.

  • Every 4 to 6 weeks is ideal for most to maintain. This is customized per client. If you are looking for more dramatic results and starting your skincare journey with exfoliation treatments (microdermabrasion, peels, etc) we recommend doing a series of 3-6 every 2 weeks for the best results and then maintaining after that. For dermaplaning you must wait 4-6 weeks between treatments.

  • If you are unsure which facial is best for your skin, you are not alone.. we get this question all the time! We suggest booking an introductory facial. We will assess and choose the products/treatment that is right for you.

  • No, this is physiologically impossible. The soft, fine vellus hair will grow back slowly – usually in about 4 weeks. It might feel different at the beginning as the hair was cut straight across but it is still the same texture and type of hair after dermaplaning :)

  • YES and you need one mama! We would love to pamper you. We will choose pregnancy safe products for you. Some of our advanced treatments are not safe for pregnancy but the good news is some are! Dermaplaning and microdermabrasion are great choices during pregnancy. You can also just book a Skottē Signature!

  • Yes! Just let your esthetician know where you waxed and they may have to avoid that area with certain products. Same goes for if you have a wax after your facial treatment. Just let us know and we can work with your wax appointment.
